Tell me that would'nt be a sick idea, to add a auction house were you could place your items for the house to hold "for a small fee" kinda like a guildwars ebay, then people anywere on your districts can look at your items and bid on them could have different tabs for different items, like Weapons / Runes / Materials then have sub tabs Swords/axes/hammers/shields and so or somthing like this would be awsome tell me if you disagree and im just talking out my butt

You could go set up the item for a specific cost per item (minor runes 5 gold, major runes 15 gold, superior runes 50 gold, upgrades for 5 gold, etc... maybe unidentified items could be put up for 2-4 times as much)...then leave and when the auction for the item ends you can be given the gold and informed for how many bids there were, the bid history and the user that won the item.

It's rumored that an auction house will happen in the future, possible with FACTIONS.

ps: Whats the deal with everyone calling this game FRACTIONS! Your about the 50th person on this site and ingame that does this. The "R" is not next to the "A", so I'm only assuming that there's a big math test coming up that I know nothing about.

Every time I read something about a new idea it reminds me of something... After a while it gets to me... Wow has all that stuff. I know there are a lot disscutions on the GW vs WoW theme, but ppl from Blizzard came up with some pretty good ideas, like this auction houses for example. It would be good thing to have an auction house. You could come, type in the item name and you can buy it without much trouble. It works great on Wow, aldough I still think Wow generaly sux

Heh, and now alot of the people from blizzard are at A-net.

I seem to have also remembered hearing that chap. 2 would have an auction house...but maybe that was just rumor.

As long as it would, let's say, give you the item immediately and transfer them the funds if you won, it would be perfect. If you still had to find and trade them(I'm sure you wouldn't, it would defeat the purpose) then there would be too many problems with people backing out of trades, or trying to change the deal

I dont think they actually said that. They said trading would be improved. Auction house may or may not be part of that improvement.

More like CH3 is when we will see it. And I truly believe ANET is going to charge some ridiculous percentage to have your items auctioned, as another attempt to get gold out of the economy. This will also keep the trade channel alive, since some people may not want to pay the cost to list the auction.

Most importantly though, the AH has the possibility to change the economy in all sorts of ways. Prices are going to fluctuate since finding an item you want would be a whole lot easier, and many repeated items will compete with each other to sell. Overall I think a lot of prices on things will drop, to match exactly the drop rate of the item.
